Common safety questions
Is pest control safe for my kids and pets?
Every pesticide we use is applied according to its label, and our technicians are trained and certified to do exactly that. Tell us about kids and pets before your service and we'll plan around them: placing baits inside tamper-resistant stations, treating areas they can't reach, or using botanical and non-chemical options where they'll work. Your technician will tell you if anyone should stay off a treated area, and for how long.
Can I ask for eco-friendly or non-chemical options?
Yes. Botanical products, natural repellents, traps, live-catch traps, and exclusion work (sealing the gaps pests use to get in) are all options. Let us know before your first service and we'll tell you what will work for your situation. Some problems, like termites, need specific treatments, and we'll be upfront about that.
Do I need to leave the house during a treatment?
It depends on the treatment and where it's applied. Your technician will walk you through it before starting, including whether anyone should stay off a treated area and for how long.
How do I find out what was used at my home?
Just ask. Your technician can tell you what was applied and where, and our office can look it up in your service records.
